During the holiday season alone, North Americans spend $1 trillion on buying gifts. ChristmasFuture would like to see some of that and other gift giving generosity re-directed to strategic projects in agriculture, health, education, economy, and rural infrastructure in the developing world.

The organization – which started in Calgary - links North Americans to the developing world, letting us choose projects across the globe and track them from beginning to end.   100% of the money given goes to the project itself.  While ChristmasFuture helps communities escape extreme poverty, it also encourages North Americans to examine the cultural poverty of our consumerism. In 2008, ChristmasFuture will launch a year-round giving site for occasions other than the winter holiday season.
