Karo awarded master brand project of Spring Creek Mountain Village.
Tuesday, August 05, 2008
Spring Creek Mountain Village is a new master planned community that will be developed over the next decade, the first planned sustainable communityin the Canmore Valley, Alberta. Karo will combine the talents and experience of both offices in Calgary and Vancouver to develop and sustain the entire masterbrand for this bold community project for the anticipated 10 year development phase.
"We are really excited about working with Spring Creek Mountain Village. Not only is the project phenomenal, but the sense of family, community and environmental stewardship Frank Kernick brings as the developer allows us to do what Karo does best – develop an authentic and sustainable brand story that will soundly resonate with future Spring Creek homeowners" said Warren Baxter, Managing Director of Karo Group, Vancouver.
A short walk from downtown Canmore, surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, Spring Creek is a 70 acre master-planned community that will feature streamside pathways, treed central meridians, pedestrian creek crossings, children's playgrounds, alpine gardened courtyards, and a central water plaza. The project incorporates elements that are in keeping with a spirit of environmental protection and pays homage to the history of Canmore and the developer's long-standing family roots in the property itself.
Karo has a long history of success with master planned developments including Brasada Ranch in Central Oregon, US and Mission Bay in San Francisco, CA, Concord Pacific in Vancouver, Chilena Bay in Baja, Mexico and the1600 acre La Estancia de Cafayate master planned community in Argentina.
