THE CHALLENGE    As the country's largest private funding agent for winter sport development, CODA felt that its image was not being consistently promoted or used in its operations or marketing. Also, as the operator of Canada Olympic Park, Olympic Oval and the Canmore Nordic Center, CODA wanted these better identified as being part of their operations.

THE KARO SOLUTION    Arising from the XV Olympic Winter Games, CODA has used its assets to establish and maintain world-class facilities, and provide assistance to national winter sport organizations. However, recognizing that CODA today is very different than it was in 1988, they looked to Karo to help them rejuvenate their 'brand.' Karo suggested using highly manipulated sports photography to convey the action, competition, speed and diversity of winter sports. A bright and bold colour palette and distinctive typography were used to produce a new corporate report, display graphics-signage, advertising and a revamped and redesigned web site to establish and carry the look forward.

THE RESULT    With a branded approach that can now be translated into their communication program, the re-branding for CODA has been considered an unqualified success.
